LIBERIA : U-16 Female team leaves for Benin
An 18-man delegation of the national U-16 female basketball team left the country yesterday, August 28, for the Republic of Benin to participate in the African Female Youth Basketball Championship.
The delegation is being headed by the Director of Sports at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Navarro Sackie. Other members of the delegation include Fred Pratt, Secretary General of the Liberia Basketball Federation; Solomon George, Head Coach; Abraham B.S. Johnson, Deputy Coach; Roland Lawrence, Trainer and Thomas Sonpon, Medic.
Players making the trip are Love Paul, Clarice Barcon and Esi Jallah of the K-Deltas Basketball Team; others are Laryome Gobah, Muna Kimber and Patience Ciapha of the Phoenix basketball team. Also on board for the competition are Cianna Smith of Survivor, Amaze Dean of Timberwolves, Taryonnoh Jlateh of Destiny Queens and Angela Walker of Rockers Angel Shooters and Rosemette Goodridge of Commission.
