Cliff Owuor is convinced his Indomitable Lions can become the dominant force in Rwanda basketball once again after their Liberation heroics.

The APR coach, who is already considered to be one of the best coaches in the history of local basketball made the statement after APR were crowned champions of the 2008 Liberation tournament after a convincing 98-66 win over Burundi's New Star last Sunday.
The ex-Kenyan international, who made three signings in Bienvenue Ngandu from Onatra (DR Congo), Micheal Buzangu from Mazembe (DR Congo) and Karim Nkusi who rejoined the Zone V club champions after a one-year spell with arch-rivals Espoir this year believes the current squad as a collective unit, has the potential to be his best yet.
"I feel the togetherness is there, the desire is there and the quality is there. There is balance in the team which is a key aspect if a team is to prevail at the top level," the 34-year-old added.
Despite losing the heroes title to Marine early this year, Owuor is buoyant APR will recapture the league.
Owuor, who joined APR in 2005 from Kenya heavy weights Ulinzi, has guided the club to sixteen titles since. This year, APR has lifted two titles; the Nizeyimana memorial and Liberation tournament.
