Basketball in Africa

Angola's senior males basketball team faces this evening in Spain, local under-23 team, in the first preparation game for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, scheduled for August in China.

In Madrid since June 23, Angola (African champions) will play control games with various teams.
Before the Olympic Games, the Angolan team will compete at the "Borislav Stancovick" and "Diamante" Cups, in China and Macau, respectively.
The national team coached by Alberto de Carvalho comprises players like Kikas Gomes, Olímpio Cipriano, Carlos Almeida, Armando Costa, Felizardo Ambrósio, Vlademir Ricardino, Abdel Bouckar, Eduardo Mingas, Milton Barros, Victor Muzadi, Luís Costa, Carlos Morais, Domingos Bonifácio, Leonel Paulo, Francisco Horácio, Idelfonso Quiteculo, Divaldo Bunga and Emanuel Neto
