KENYA : Champs KCB, Co-Op Bank in League Action

Nairobi
Champions Kenya Commercial Bank Lions and Co-operative Bank will continue with their 2008 men's basketball Premier League title campaign with easy first leg matches at Nyayo National Stadium this weekend.
On Saturday, Co-op Bank, led by Wycliffe Ochieng, Lewis Muya and George Kamau, confront Pirates at 2 pm. KCB Lions, who beat Kenya Ports Authority 87-68 last weekend, are poised to maintain their unbeaten record when they take on Tigers of the United States International University on Sunday at 4 pm.
Victor Odendo, who has been impressive this season, will team up with Tobias Onyango, Yoni Wanambiro and David Otiso to help KCB Lions grab two crucial first leg points.
In other matches on Saturday, Posta, who are unbeaten in the lower competition, will meet World Hope, Mennonites tackle Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology while
African Nazarene University have a date with new comers Blazers.
In Mombasa, KPA led by Dan Okwiri, Mike Opel and Patrick Kirui will start as favourites to win against visiting International Christian Centre at the KPA Makande gymnasium from 4 pm on Saturday. KPA collected three points from their Nairobi outing last weekend and victory will boost their play-offs hopes.
Stubborn hosts
University of Nairobi Terrorists are in Kisumu to play their stubborn hosts Lakeside at Kenyatta Sports Ground at 1 pm while Cruisers will host University of Nairobi's Dynamites at the same venue from 1 pm.
On Sunday in Nairobi, ANU will play World Hope, Strathmore University women's team will take on Flames of the USIU-A while Blazers meet JKUAT.
