Basketball in Africa

The athletes Olímpio Cipriano, Kikas Gomes (both from 1º de Agosto) and Carlos Morais (Petro de Luanda) are the main candidates for the 2008 national senior males basketball championship's Most Valuable Player (MVP), whose winner will be known this evening.
The winner will be known during a gala organised by the Angolan Basketball Federation. Petro´s shooting guard Carlos Morais is the current holder of the MVP.
Besides MVP, they will be also the award for the best athletes on rebound, passes, recoveries, scoring from two and three points positions, best coach, referee and fair play athlete.
