UGANDA : Only Miracles Can Work Against Firing Canons

MIRACLE will need to be at their best to avoid the backlash of the wounded UCU Canons when the two meet today in the men's MTN basketball division I league.
Miracle, with two wins out of two, will have to pull out all the stops if they are to preserve their spotless record, something that the Canons can no longer boast of. The Mukono side lost to KIU on Sunday.
A depleted Canons' side was convincingly outshone by their university rivals but could be a headache for their opponents if they are back at full strength.
Star player Ivan Enabu dismissed any likelihood of a dip in confidence following their loss to KIU. "You lose some you win some, we are going to bounce back," he assured.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) organising secretary Peter Kirabo is scouting for young talent to make the national U-18 boys and girls teams.
Kirabo, an umpire and Kisubi SS games teacher at the 15th edition of the schools basketball going on at Mary Hill High School in Mbarara, is expected to select the two sides that will represent Uganda at the Zone 5 cadets championships slated for July in Kampala.
