American basketball duo of Dikembe Mutombo who features for Houston Rockets and Kulenna Azubuike of Golden Star Warriors, are expected in the country early next month.
The NBA regular players have been included in the American delegates who are heading to Arusha to attend the Sullivan Summit scheduled for June 2-6.
According to the Tanzania Basketball Federation (TBF) secretary general Lawrence Cheyo, the duo will also take time to interact with basketball officials and players in Tanzania
"We have been informed of NBA players' impending tour and we take no chances to capitalize on their tour that will certainly be beneficial for us in terms of the game's promotion," said Cheyo.
He said TBF has already communicated with their basketball counterparts in Arusha who will receive the NBA duo upon arrival.
Cheyo said their visit would have a positive impact on local based players who wish to develop a professional players.
Some of the delegates who will be attending the Arusha's Sullivan Summit are also expected to extend their stay in the country to scale Mount Kilimanjaro, visit national parks and other tourist destinations.
