LIBYA : Al Kuwait SC and An Nasr upset Al Nasr
Group F saw another win of Al Kuwait SC that remains undefeated in 21st Arab Clubs Championship. Al Kuwait SC overcame Al Nasr 103:77 with however a tough opening. Al Nasr struggled a lot and trailed only 18:16 after the opening quarter. When the board showed 46:32 the game was almost over and Al Kuwait SC benefit from the campaign. Andre Pitts (185-G-73, college: Huston-Tillotson) led the winners with 34 points and 5 steals. Ira Clark (203-F/C-75, college: Texas) supported him with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Al Nasr was paced by Khlaed Mohammad's 18 points and Salem Za'toot's 15.
Tonight Al Nasr was beaten by An Nasr from UAE 78:89. The latter opened the game in an offensive style taking 32:19 from the early beginning. UAE squad held 58:43 as the teams disappeared in the lockers. Al Nasr tried to recover in the second half but could not tie the game. Amal McCaskill (211-F/C-73, agency: Huss Sport Agency, college: Marquette) led the winners with 25 points. Justin Murray nailed 20 and Trello Galloway (201-G/F-79, college: Georgia St.) posted 18. Marwan Abu Gheelah ended up with 16 points in the losing effort. Abdelhalim Kaw'an scored 15, while Ilija Zolotic had 14.
