They have never won the boys' national schools basketball crown although Crane High, Kitintale has been a formidable force for the last four years.
Once again, the Kampala-based side will be out to challenge for title when the 15th edition of the national schools championships tip-off today at Mary Hill High school in Mbarara.
Having seen their hope of winning for the first time last year dented by controversial officiating that disallowed a would-be buzzer winner, Crane High will be in no other need except fighting for honours this time round.
"We have all it takes to lift this year's title, although it might be a tough contest for us," said Justus Mugisha, the team coach. Crane High has been an indomitable side in the much contested Kampala region, having won the boys' trophy for the last four years.
