RWANDA : Basketball League Registration Starts

Registration for this year's Basketball national league started yesterday at the federation offices at Amahoro indoor stadium.
The registration exercise is scheduled to end on Saturday, the day on which the league is expected to start.
Already three new clubs; School of Finance and Baking (SFB), Byimana, and Kabgayi have expressed interest in participating in the 2008 league season.
The reigning male category champions Marines and female category champions APR have also confirmed their participation.
Others clubs expected to beat the deadline include APR (boys), Cercle Sportif (CSK A), Marines, Espoir, Rwanda National University (UNR), Rusizi, UGB.
Meanwhile, the national juniors' team has continued its preparations for the Zone V championship due in Kampala, Uganda.
The event has been postponed from April to July however; the new dates are yet to be confirmed.
