NIGERIA : NBBF Mourns With Gyang Buba

the Board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced that it mourns with the Federation's President Elder Jacob Gyang Buba on the passing away of his mother Mrs Hanatu Kaneng Buba. The late Mrs Buba died on Wednesday in Jos aged 85yrs.
"We the members of the Board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), the staff of the Federation and the entire Nigerian basketball family mourn with the President of the Federation Elder Jacob G. Buba at the death of his mother who passed on Wednesday. We pray that God grants the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss," the press release from the NBBF office in Abuja read.
Details of the burial programme will be made available later to the public by the family it was said.
Buba is also the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service.
Meanwhile the Premier League will continue this afternoon with Lagos Islanders as hosts to the Comets today at the National Stadium, Lagos. It will be their first meet in the regular season.
Tomorrow Union Bank will be at home to Delta Force of Asaba at the same venue. The match will be the first away match and the second of the season for the Asaba-based team. They lost their first match at home to AHIP Giants of Kano 87-81.
