Basketball in Africa

Several teams have qualified for the second round of the Liberia Basketball Association national league. Those qualified in the first division are NPA Pythons, LPRC oilers, Uhuru Kings and Mighty Barrolle. The rest Dream Team and Flames and in the female division, champion K-Deltas, Phoenix, Survivors and Commissioners are through. The rest are Destiny Queens and Rockers Angels Shooters. Those that booked tickets in the second division are, Cestor Mogars, Dream Team, Flip Star, Wild Cats, Urban Invaders amongst others.
Meanwhile the first phase of the league continued during the week. On Sunday March 16, Flames fell to LPRC Oilers 63-102 and Mighty Barrolle went down to Commissioners 63-68 points to the disbelief of the many spectators. On Monday March 17, Cestor Mogars clipped Supreme Brothers 49-47 points in a breath taking encounter and in the second match Uhuru Prince slapped Urban Invaders 67-61 points.v
