BY JULIUS MBARAGA
This year’s Basketball season will be preceded next Saturday with a two-day National Heroes tournament.
APR, the event organizers have established that the tournament is open to all local clubs.
"We have sent out invitations to all clubs and although no club has responded yet, we expect a big turn-up," APR’s coach Cliff Owuor said.
Just like in the past, the tournament will shortly be followed by a two-day international edition which according to APR will attract clubs from Burundi, Uganda and Kenya.
The local edition will shortly be followed by an international competition in the first weekend of March.
APR won last year’s edition after thrashing Burundi’s Dynamo in the final.
