BASKETBALL governing body FUBA plans to institute a law for all league club coaches to have licenses with effect from the 2008 season.

Federation technical committee member Joseph Manano revealed this ahead of a meeting with all club coaches to be held at YMCA on Saturday.
"The committee wants to discuss such changes with the coaches before the season starts," Manano said yesterday.

The official added that the meeting, part of the federation's efforts to raise the level of the game in Uganda, will also focus on a review of the past season.

The meeting will also look at the rules and regulations and generate suggestions on how to further improve the league.
This meeting comes after one involving technical committee members and team managers held last week.

Manano also disclosed that the transfer window opens next month while the the 2008 league season will start on April 4.

Mogas Falcons won the men's title while the women's crown went to KCC Leopards.
