Basketball in Africa

The 2007 Summer Slam Tourney was played at Lehakoe Indoor courts on the weekend of 22nd December 2007. There were eight registered teams for this tournament. Namely; Bashana-Baeso, Lerotholi Polytechnic, Leseli, Rovers, Lialuma,Rangers,Killar Beez and Raaa. Out of all these teams only two are not registered in the NBL. Lerotholi Polytechnic which is unbeaten in the NBL suffered their first loss of the year in the hands of Rovers . Bashana-Baeso went on to win the final against Rovers, boosted by their players who syudy in South Africa. Matlatsa Nteso of Bashana-Baeso scooped the MVP award and a gym membership at Lehakoe. The tournament was held in conjuction with LBA and TKI to raise funds for charity.
