YOUNGSTER Francis Tumusiime notched his first ever topflight league man-of -the-match accolade, spurring Mogas Falcons to a 75-61 victory over Kyambogo Warriors in Game Four of the MTN-Fuba finals at Lugogo Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night.

Like Falcons, 2005 women champions A-1 Challenge came from behind to beat KCC Leopards 57-50 and level the best of five series at 2-all.
The four teams will now clash this evening in the decisive Game Five at Lugogo but Crane High School are still celebrating their maiden Second Division championship having outlasted KCC Lions 80-77 on Wednesday to win the series 3-1.

Rookie Tumusiime, 19, exhibited mature game reading, made incisive passes and scored 13 points, nine of them outside the arc as the record champions overcame a 20-14 first quarter deficit.

Warriors, who won the first two games of the series, looked the better side on the night, with Stephen Okias scoring 13 of his team's 20 points in the opening session but the combination of brothers Henry (23) and Eric Malinga (24) gave Falcons a massive 25-12 advantage in the subsequent quarter.

Falcons then outscored their opponents in the second half 36-26 but Warriors were not ready to go down without a fight. With three minutes left, Diego Angemi (7) came off the bench, made two quick steals and brought back Warriors into the game at 60-63.

But Falcons reacted well with Henry making a coast to coast drive, before Eric and Tumusiime finished off the game with several points on the line. Okias finished with 18 points while Ronnie Kasewu and Brian Gumisiriza contributed 13 apiece for Warriors.

“We have played the last three games under pressure. Let's see how they handle the pressure in Game Five,” Falcons team manager John Ssimbwa taunted Warriors.
