22nd Champions Cup for men: The draw to take place next Monday in Abidjan

Initially scheduled to be held in Luanda (Angola), the draw ceremony of the 22nd Champions Cup for men to be held from December 13 – 22 in Angola with 12 clubs will finally take place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

This draw ceremony will be held on Monday, December 03, 2007 at 18 O’clock at Hotel ivoire and is to be supervised by the president and Secretary General of FIBA Africa, respectively Pr Alain Ekra and Dr Alphonse Bilé. The clubs’ delegates will be represented by their diplomatic officials and many guests are also expected.

The draw will help to divide the 12 teams into two Groups A and B. Interclube (Angola, hosting club) will lead group A while Petro Atlético (Angola, 2006 Champion) will lead group B.

The Group A will play in Cabinda while the Group B will compete in Huambo.

The second round of this championship will be played in Luanda where the final berth will take place.
