SEYCHELLES : THE coaches’ commission of the Seychelles Basketball Federation (SBF) has been dissolved.
Sports Nation has also learned that the newly elected SBF executive committee is to meet today to elect a new coaches’ commission.
According to a reliable source, the coaches’ commission should have been dissolved before the last annual general meeting, but because of some misunderstandings, it did not.
The same source added that the coaches’ commission, chaired by Pascal Fostel, claimed that it had a constitution which binds it to serve a two-year mandate.
As for SBF chairman Jude Talma, he noted that because the “coaches’ commission’s constitution had never been approved and the coaches’ commission being an arm of the SBF, it cannot have a constitution of its own thus making the ‘soit-disant coaches’ commission’s constitution illegal. Therefore, we will have to elect a new coaches’ commission in office.”
