UGANDA : Lubiri Hs, Eagles Nest in Sprite Semis

DEFENDING champions Lubiri High School and Eagles Nest girls breezed to the semi-finals of the Sprite Schools basketball championship yesterday.
Lubiri, the division two national league contenders made a behind-the scene swoop to snatch a 65-58 victory over third division outfit Bugema Adventist in the boys category.
Ramathan Busulwa, who notched a game high 22 points over Makerere College on Tuesday, was again on song after posting 33.
Bugema, who led by 10 points in the second quarter, fizzled out after point guard Isaac Kigozi was fouled out in the last quarter.
Joseph Kisitu and Elisha Wamala added eight points apiece for Lubiri High School while Arthur Kosoro made 16 for Bugema.
Eagles Nest, 33-16 victors over Lubiri girls, also moved to the last four after overcoming Mary Hill School girls 28-22.
Bugema and Makerere College boys were due to battle out for the other semi-final slot in decisive encounters late yesterday.
Bugema Adventist SS girls and Mary Hill were also due to square up in the girls category.
