LIBERIA : Team Fails to Win in Algeria

The Liberia National Basketball Team failed to win any match in the on-going All Africa Game, which is currently taking place in Algiers, Algeria. Liberia finished as the least team in the Group B fixture after she lost her final match to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The poor performance of the team makes it impossible for the country to progress into the quarterfinal stage of the event, which kicked off yesterday.
Liberia lost her opening match of the fixture to Cameroon 50 - 75 and bowed down to Angola 63 - 91; to Mali 67 - 84; to Nigeria 57 - 79 and finally to the Democratic Republic of Congo 66 - 93.
In the quarterfinal event, Cameroon is paired against Egypt; South Africa against Angola; Mali against Cote D'Ivoire and Algeria against Nigeria.
According to sources from the Liberia Basketball Federation (LBF) the team is expected to return home on July 27, 2007.
