Basketball in Africa

Angola female basketball team scored an important victory Saturday in the All Africa Games, after defeating Mozambique female team 48-46, in the third round of the competition going on in Algiers, Alger.

After starting with a loss from the Democratic Republic of Congo, 54-78, the team, coached by Aníbal Moreira, beat Côte d'Ivoire 51-32.

The Angolans are resting Sunday, to play Cameroon and close on Tuesday the first phase with the host team
