NIGERIA : LCL: Union Bank pound Warriors 76-58

With two matches left in the regular season of the Lagos City league the race for a place in the playoffs became keener at the weekend as league leader, Union Bank basketball club pounded hard fighting Dodan Warriors basketball club by 76-58 points.

In other matches decided Sunday Ebun Comets basketball club anchored by Dennis Ebikoro decision Chariot basketball club 74-69 points in a thrilling encounter to stay put in the third position of the twelve-team league.


City league move games for NBBF Zenith league

The league committee of the Lagos City league has move matches initially fixed for this weekend to pave way for the final leg of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF Zenith Bank female premier league expected to jump-start on Sunday May 27 at the sports hall of the Lagos National stadium.

All the week-11 matches are affected and as the committee did not want a carry-over of games till after the Zenith premier and to allow teams who made it to the playoffs prepare well for the big occasion.

With the changes in date the regular season will now end on Friday as against the initially Sunday date.
