KENYA : Mixed Luck for University of Nairobi in Main League
The University of Nairobi Basketball Teams , Dynamites (Ladies) and Terrorists (Men) registered mixed results over the weekend in the Kenya Basketball Federation-KBF Women's and Men's Premier League respectively.
UoN Dynamites were scorched 75-23 by United States International University-USIU Flames, who dominated the game from the tip-off. Kenya National Team guards, Samba Mjomba and Angela Okoth; who are in training for the All Africa Games this July in Algeria , led the Flames onslaught, while Irene Atieno and Rose Apondi fought back for the Dynamites.
UoN Terrorists on the other hand came all out, dominating the boards at both ends to win 77-54 against newcomers Strathmore University-Blades after good runs by Moses Kamau, Brian Busu, Eugene and Rodney Genga.
In the Division One League, Blazers basketball team upset Nairobi Pentecostal Church-NPC 73-57.
