ANGOLA : 1º De Agosto Beat Mixed Team of Cabinda
1º de Agosto beat the mixed team of Cabinda on Tuesday, in Luanda, by 105-71, in a first leg semi-finals game of the Angolan Cup in senior males basketball, played at pavilion two of Cidadela Sports Stadium.
Showing a great interchange and technical-competitive capacity, the cup's titleholders entered the second quarter of the match with a 53-31 advantage.Apart from the disadvantage, the representatives of the northern Cabinda province tried their best to overcome 1º de Agosto's favouritism.To the contrary of what was expected, Henrique Bado, of the mixed team of Cabinda, was the top scorer with 19 points, but inadequate to beat their opponents.
On his turn, Olímpio Cipriano, of 1º de Agosto, was the second best scorer with 18 points.
The second leg game will be played next Tuesday.
