NIGERIA : Ogunade, LSBBA Chair thumb-up Akofa

Chairman of the Lagos State Basketball Association, Babs Ogunade has commended the effort of the organizers of the annual Ivy League competition, Akofa for doing a wonderful job.

Ogunade who was the Special Guest at the grand finale of the league enjoined the organizer especially its coordinator, John Abimbola Faniran to remain steadfast in the development and promotion of the game for the betterment of the society.
He promised that his association will not fail to offer any assistance to the organizers in any area it deem fit so that the league can continue to get better by the year.
The former Nigeria International forward called on the private sector to join government in taking sports to an enviable height in the state in particular and the country in general.
Dolphins basketball club proprietor, wale Aboderin said the organizers should as a matter of urgency put together a clinic to be conducted by one of the national team coaches in Nigeria so that such knowledge will be further impacted to the kids for the benefit of the game.
Ronik Comprehensive High School, Ejigbo emerged winner in the boy’s category while Vivian Fowler won the girls version.
Ronik defeated Whitesand International School by 35-32 points while Vivian Fowler was 19-10 points better than Atlantic Hall International School, Epe. Benita Mordi of Vivian Fowler and Adebowale Osipitan of Ronik Comprehensive High School were adjudged the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) in the girls and boys cadre.
