TANZANIA : CMTU joins PTW in Kili RBA
CMTU women team of Chang`ombe in Dar es Salaam has joined PTW Stars for this year`s Kili RBA season after winning second position in the Dar Dream Cup, a fixture used to upgrade teams.
CMTU won two matches and lost two, but collected six points while PTW Stars won all their four matches bagging in eight points.
However, teams which are manned by the Tanzania People`s Defence Force, TPDF, will join their sister Jeshi Stars team who have been featuring in the league for some time.
PTW Stars player Nipael Kassy told Sunday Observer that they would mantain their win spirit to remain in the league as they have a formidable side.
``We will try our level best to win and remain in the RBA, but we fear the administration who might dissolve our team to take some players to the top team.
This will obviously reduce our morale and make us stand to lose,`` says Nipael who last year played for JKT Stars before she secured a job with TPDF.
In the men categories ABC and PTW who are also under TPDF have already qualified for Kili RBA scheduled for early June.
But, the fate of Don Bosco and Tanblacks awaits results of their last match expected to be held yesterday. Both teams have 10 points.
Der Dream Cup targets to upgrade four men and two women teams to RBA, summing up 14 men and six women teams.
Other men teams that participated in the competition are Srelio, Cavarries and Cargo Boys, while women are Police Queens.
Fixture for yesterday`s encounter was Crows Vs Tanblacks, Cargo Boys Vs Cavarries and PTW Vs Srelio.
