ANGOLA : Ladies National Team Ready for Zimbabwe Tourney
The senior ladies basketball team leaves this Friday for Zimbabwe, where it starts taking part in the tournament that qualifies to the Pan-African Games (in Algeria) and to the African Championship (Senegal).
After a 10-days preparation, the players of coach Aníbal Moreira will try to qualify for the African Championships, with the presence at the Pan-African Games already guaranteed.During the preparation, the national coach will give priority to two and three points shooting, man- to-man defence and fast attack, in order to oppose the advantage of more physically fit opponents.
The national team played four friendly matches, having lost three against junior males' teams of Petro de Luanda (55-91, 50-64) and of 1º de Agosto (50-83). They beat the mixed team of Luanda by 75-38.
