VARSITY Leopards handed Stormers a 100-55 thrashing in the Harare Basketball Association A League at the City Sports Center over the weekend.

The win was Varsity's seventh win of the season.

They have lost twice this season.

Gideon Chikopa once again led the attack for Varsity and top-scored with 22 points and got great support from Michael Makanda, Tafadzwa Walani and Hamilton Mudawarima.
Former Faithwear Jammers player Makanda scored 16 points with Walani adding 13 while Mudawarima weighed in with 12 points.
Ulemu "Respect" Gwaze battled hard for the Stormers with 11 points while Tommy Mhurushomana had eight points.

Varsity team manager Rutendo Makanda said the victory will boost the team's spirits ahead of the forthcoming showdown against Raiderz.
"It was an open game and we were in control from the beginning of the game and we took this game as a preparatory match for next weekend's battle against Raiderz.
"We are on course and we will always give the best we can.
"Hamilton and Gideon played well and not forgetting Makanda and Dominic Mhlanga who came in with valid play as well," said Makanda.
Raiderz also upset favourites Londoner Hawks 72-50 at the same venue.
Brothers Duncan and Norest Shenje were in great form for Raiderz with 21 and 14 points while Menard Masawi chipped in with 12.
Tafadzwa Ndudzo (17 points) and Ian Janure (14 points) tried their best in a losing cause.
