THE basketball season came to an end Sunday evening with Saints eclipsing Juba Link 56-29 in the finals of the three-aside tournament played at Victory Christian Church, Ntinda.
The three-aside tourney brings together players from different clubs as they combine to form several teams. Sadolin Power's Richard Balemwa, Simon Otine, Martin Okello and Pascal Alule (Livingstone) made up the Saints team.Balemwa sunk in a game-high 25 points, Otine 10 and Okello 9. Charles Babumba, who turns out for KCC Lions in the league was the only Juba Link player in double-figures with 15 points.Saints bagged Shs100,000 for their efforts while losing finalists Juba Link pocketed Shs50,000.The event attracted 20 men's teams but no ladies took part.
Meanwhile the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) assembly has been postponed to from this month (December) to next month (January).
"The executive is yet to meet to set a date for the assembly. This is a festive season and the meeting will most probably be next month," said Elliot Bagenda the FUBA general secretary.

Hi, the blog sounds good.
I was working on the Wikipedia article: "FIBA Africa" and I found your blogspot link. If you have anything to contribute it would be totally appreciated. The link is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIBA_Africa#FIBA_Federations or just type in FIBA Africa in a wikipedia search box.
Type User:Mr Accountable into the search box if you need to leave a message at my user page.
I hope you can help out sometime. The article is very short and there are no articles on any of the national federations. I was only able to find a few links after 1/2 hour's work.
Great blog. Go Celtics.
