TANZANIA : RBA teams battle for semi-final berths

CHANG'OMBE Boys yesterday beat Mgulani JKT in a Kili RBA league quarterfinal encounter at the Indoor stadium.
The win however did not guarantee them an outright place in the semi-final as Savio and Oilers, who also played yesterday, are real favourite to qualify for semi finals from the Western Conference.
Adam Jagame played a crucial role in Chang'ombe boys' victory scoring 19 points which made him the best scorer of the match.
By half time Chang'ombe boys, who controlled the game through out, were leading by 28 - 23 points.
Following the win, JKT who on Saturday also beat Chui, have put themselves in a better position to qualify for the semi finals.
In another quarterfinal match of the Eastern Conference teams staged at the same ground, JKT beat UDSM Outsiders 53 - 30.
Ashraf Harun linked well with his team-mate Charles Makene to give their team a deserving victory.
Ashraf scored 13 points to emerge the best scorer of the match while Makene managed 10. Deo Ishenda and John Kitula were UDSM Outsiders' leading scorers.
