TANZANIA : Eastern beat Western Conference
EASTERN Conference women's combine basketball team left it late but eventaully overcame Western Conference 66-64 in a one-day encounter at the National Indoor Stadium yesterday.
Western Conference started very strong and led the first three quarters by 22-15, 18-14, 18-13 but the winners reorganised in the last quarter and managed to win it by 25-6.
Evodia Kazinja and Doritha Mbonda were inspirational for Eastern Conference after netting 17 and 13 points respectively. Western Conference's top scorers were Naima Bori (20) and Neema Emmanuel (17).
