UGANDA : Tight Playoffs

ELIZABETH Kizza scored 11 of her team high 18 points in the fourth quarter to help defending champions A-1 Challenge defeat KCC Leopards in game two of the MTN Basketball League semi-final play-off series Sunday evening at YMCA.
A-1 Challenge, the women's defending champs became the first team to beat KCC Leopards who have won a record 19 games since the season begun in April. Having lost game one of the series, the champions showed determination right from the start scoring 20 points compared to KCC's 14 in first quarter.They stretched the lead 13-7 in second quarter, third quarter ended on level 11 points but Kizza's post moves in the fourth quarter helped her team amass 15 points while Leopards scored only 8.Betty Namukasa scored 9 points, Ali Mavita and Rossette Meya collected 6 apiece to help A-1 set up a determinant game three due Sunday or Monday depending on the FUBA technical committee decision later tomorrow.
Becky Akullo had a game high 24 points for KCC Leopards but her teammates in Agatha Baliddawa and Annett Nakiwu were a shadow of themselves managing only 2 points apiece.

Meanwhile, Stephen Okias led Warriors with 27 points on their way to a 68-52 win over Sadolin Power. Allan Tawoda top scored for Power with 19 points. The two teams will also meet for game three on a yet to be set date to determine who plays in the final.
