NIGERIA : Africa Qualifiers: Comets on a Shaky Start
Ebun Comets basketball club began its quest for a place in the grand finale of the 23rd African Champions Club Competition on a shaky note Sunday in Abidjan, Ivory Coast with a 58-53 points lose to home team Zenith basketball club.
The coach Ayo Bakare tutored still have opportunity to redeem the pledge of playing in the grand finale in lagos next month when it filled out against Back basketball club of Guinea later today.
Nigeria champion, Plateau Peaks basketball club will have the opportunity of show-casing its talents when in confront CBS basketball club of Togo.
Other matches slated for today includes the encounter between NPA Python of Liberia and Zenith of Ivory Coast and Invissible Eleven of Liberia versus African Sports of Ivory Coast.
Ten club are taking part in the week-long qualifiers from seven countries from zones one, two and three with the first four team booking a passage to the grand finale to be hosted by Nigeria's Dodan Warriors basketball club.
