UGANDA : Warriors check sadolin Power

WARRIORS stayed firmly on course for a place in the MTN basketball league playoffs with a thrilling 92-88 triumph over Sadolin Power.
Ronnie Kasewu exploded for 19 points and Stephen Okias added 18 to fire Warriors to a comprehensive triumph over Power in Sunday’s Yello max encounter at the YMCA.
Warriors got off to a 25-24 lead in the first quarter and limited Power to 19 points in the second quarter for a 50-43 halftime lead.
Allan Tawodda buried a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to take his points tally to 21 and bring Power within two points (88-90). but Warriors’ Francis Kasekende, who was fouled on a drive, sunk a free-throw and Brian Gumisiriza added another for a 92-88 lead.
Power are now in a must win situation going into today’s game against Najja High at the YMCA court.
Meanwhile, Gulu Hawks beat Kampala’s Livingstone 67-51 at Kaunda ground, Saturday.
