LUBIRI High School maintained their unbeaten run in the Sprite Schools Invitational basketball tournament with a 46-45 overtime victory over Bugema SDA at the St Leo's, Kyegobe courts.

Inspired by Ramathan Busulwa, Lubiri raced 15-10 up in the first quarter before rallying for a 21-18 lead at halftime.

But Bugema hit back in the second half with a combined 18 points from Paul Marini and Emmanuel Okong to narrow the deficit and force the game into overtime after the scores were tied at 39-39 at the final whistle.

Busulwa then came up strong for Lubiri in overtime to secure the team their third straight victory in three matches, and pole position in pool A.

Lubiri takes on Nyakasura, who shocked Old Kampala into a 34-21 submission, while Bugema SDA plays Makerere College School (MACOS) in today's semi-finals.

In other games, MACOS boys team beat Kabalega 35-10 to also book a slot in the semi-finals.
