After two months of recess, the second edition of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Female League will resume October.
According to the NBBF Secretary, Segun Akinlotan, the league will resume with the final 8 play-offs billed for the Indoor Sports Hall, National Stadium, Lagos. The qualified teams include Customs, Blue Angels who made it through from the Equatorial Conference, while Elephant Girls and Delta Force qualified from the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, First Bank Basketball team Coach, Aderemi Adewunmi has hoped for a fair paring, as the Elephants Girls begins the defense of their title.
Aderemi, who expressed confidence that this year's title will not elude team, want the organisers to be fair in making the fixtures for the final 8.According to the assistant female national team coach, a fair pairing may see his team, Elephant Girls and their junior side, Blue Angel play in this year's final.
"This is going to be another year of victory for First Bank, our target is to get both Elephant Girls and Blue Angels play in the final, but I can only hope the organisers will be fair in making the fixture so as not to deliberately group us together in the first round" he said.
The Elephants Girls, booked a place in the final 8 from the Western Conference in Akure, while their junior team Blue Angels coached by former D'Tigress forward, Sola Ogunade also qualified from the Equatorial conference play-offs held in Asaba.
