Basketball instructor at the National Institute for Sports (NIS), O'Brien Adoki has charged officials of Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) to ensure that the country's best players are always available for major championships.

He projected into future competitions on the continent and global scenes, and noted that the best way to get desired results would be to always use the best available to the nation."I believe we have an abundance of talent for sport. However, the only way we can win what we should and make the right impact is to garner the best talents we can at each point in time," Adoki reasoned, while noting that the approach would bring results that are even better than the recent ones achieved by The Tigers in Japan.However, Adoki expressed satisfaction with the performance by the national basketball squad, The Tigers, at the recent World Basketball Championship in Japan, saying the presence of younger players meant the team is in transition.
