KAMPALA International University's 82-57 win over Najja High on Saturday kept the going tough for this season's play offs in the MTN Yello Max conference.
Isaac Afidra made 26 points and Emma Baguma contributed 15 to ensure the University team went to 17 points from 11 games, meaning they can still challenge for the last four slots in case third and fourth placed Power and Warriors slip up in their six games.
The two have collected 21 points apiece and KIU needs to win all their remaining games to get there. Falcons regained their top position on Friday after a close 59-55 win over Rhino that kept the 1997 champions in fifth place ahead of Miracle and KIU.
Meanwhile, three-man Makerere Cubs lost 54-52 to Crane High in an entertaining game at Makerere.
Immaculate Chocho notched a team record 34 points and Diana Nakimuli added 12 for Crane. Rolyn Nakalanzi made 17 points for the Cubs
