GIANTS Falcons face Charging Rhinos in the men's Yello Max MTN Basketball league.
The record winners need to regain their top position from Nkumba Marines who are on top because of the head-on rules, while the 1997 winners Rhinos need a win in order to keep their play- off hopes alive. In the women’s category, Lady Bucks and Makerere Sparks also face off this evening in a mid-week clash at Lugogo indoor Stadium.

The University Students last beat their opponents in the 2003 best of five final series en-route to their first league title and have since been a punching bag.

However, the four second round straight wins including victories over KIU Rangers and defending champions A-I Challenge has helped them.

" This is the most important stage of the league where the focuss is only on wins," Sparks' Margaret Nalubega said.

The two rivals need a win to run away from Rangers and A-I Challenge who pose a play- offs threat in fourth and fifth positions respectively.

Meanwhile, UCU Mukono maintained their unbeaten run in the Yello Go Conference with a win over Makerere Youth Heaters, while Miracle struggled to beat relegation candidates Najja in the games played on Wednesday.
