UMPIRE Brian Kagoro's technical call on Mai Nakamya handed A-I Challenge a breath taking 42-41 win over Kampala International University Rangers in the MTN league game played on Sunday.
Nakamya had been fouled with four seconds to go and the game tied at 41, but seemed to have faked an injury to ignore the charity line.
Kagoro's decision was her fifth call, and stand-in Barbara Namukaya missed both but Josephine Namayega (10 points) converted one for the defending champion's second win in the second round.
Carol Mugasha tied the game with a neat shot behind the arc after Tewin Ssemakula (17) had given KIU a strong come back. A -I moved up to fourth place.
