MTN Basketball women's league top scorer Frances Nabulobi was in double figures again with 31 points and 10 rebounds as Lady Bucks defeated hosts Nabisunsa girls on Wednesday in a league game.
The school girls had a poor start, trailing 30-12 at half time but the cheering home crowd geared them to a 21-16 third quarter recovery through three points shooting by Halima Nabusimba, Angela Namilimu and Charlene Kalungi.
But Nabulobi remained a terror with Flavia Okecho and Grace Amuren adding 12 points apiece to ensure maximum points.
Player of the game Nabusimba notched 20 points, while Judith Ngaju (10), Kalungi (8) and Joyce Zalwango (8) were all on target, but could not help their team win.
The win takes the former champions to joint top position with Kampala City Council (KCC) Leopards who have 18 points.
At Lubili courts, Ramathan Busulwa made a game high 33 points and Nichol Sseguya added 16 as hosts Lubiri High registered a massive 74-44 beating of Family Planning Association of Uganda (FPAU).
