Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) ladies basketball team will take part in the Africa Feminine Club Championships scheduled for September 10 to 17 in Libreville, Gabon.
Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Fixtures Secretary, Steve Nyakina, says they've confirmed KPA's inclusion in the roster of fixtures for the event.
KPA qualified for the championships after dethroning defending champions Sprite Storms 58-49 in the final match of the just concluded East and Central Africa championship.
Coach Sammy Wanjohi, told Sport Fest on Wednesday the team is in training for the event.
Wanjohi said the players are in great shape and have several build-up matches lined up. He added that the team will use league matches and the Kecoso games, which are scheduled for August, to prepare.
