KENYA : KBF boss leaves for Burkina Faso
Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) chairman, Agina Wesonga, was due to jet out of the country on Wednesday to Burkina Faso to attend the Fiba-Africa Congress.
Agina said there will be issues affecting Kenya for discussion during the two-day meeting, including the participation of two Kenyan teams, KCB Lions and Kenya Ports Authority, in the Africa championships.
"Besides elections, Fiba-Africa will discuss the future of the both the national and club championships.
It will be a lively debate as it will chart the way forward for financially handicaped teams," he said.
In a similar development, KBF first vice-chairman, Henry Shihemi, will also travel to Japan later in the month for the two-day Fiba World Congress. It was not clear whether
former KBF chairman, Maurice Aluanga would contest a continental seat.
