LADY Bucks' three points shooting was the strategy that propelled them to a 54-47 triumph over A-I Challenge in the MTN basketball game played on Sunday at Nakasero Primary School.

After a slim 23-21 first half lead, with the game close at a 49-47 nerve cracking score, the former winners and record champions needed Flavia Okecho's (pictured right) last minute short from outside the arc and Ingrid Auma's hoop to revenge the 3-1 best of five final series loss last season.

Miriam Birungi, Frances Nabulobi and Grace Amulen all had double three pointers for 13, 12 and 7 points respectively while Ali Mavita, Viola Akuma and Rosette Meya made 10, 9 and 7 points for the defending champions.

Table leaders KCC Leopards made a century score over Nabisunsa Girls to stay top on maximum points from 7 games. Linda Tamale, Becky Akullo, Miriam Hamala and Agatha Baliddawa were all on target with 16, 18, 18 and 20 points while Joyce Zalwango and Dorothy Kyamazima made 7 and 6 points respectively.

In the men's Yello Max, Rhino were 76-47 victors over Najja to revenge last year's 47-42 loss to the High school boys. Richard Okila made 19 points.
