MTN Basketball League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Norman Blick scored 27 points to inspire Marines to a 82-79 win over Charging Rhinos in an entertaining game played on Saturday at Wandegeya. The small forward who since December 2005 has been out at Al-Rayyan in Qatar chasing greener pastures, came off the bench to lead the defending champions to a 41-30 half time score with three slum dunks.
"I am happy with the improvement the players have made and Salim (Ali) is an inspiration," Blick commented. Salim (12) and Carol Bisereko (11) scored for Marines while Olika and Mande Juruni made 18 and 11 for Rhino.
A-1 Chellenge whipped Kyambogo Comets 88-7.
