UGANDA: Crane High, Mukono Win FPAU Tourney
CRANE High School Kitintale and Makerere University won the first edition of the Family Planning Association of Uganda (FPAU) basketball tournament finals played at the YMCA Courts on Sunday.
Crane girls humiliated experienced Amazon 41-25 with Florence 'fofo' Kalume scoring a game high 16 points.
In the men's seniors, Makerere University needed a last second Ben Komakech's free throw for a slim 64-62 win over Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono.
Michael Kariuki, Allan Tawodda and David Kiberu made 14, 13 and 10 points respectively, while Edward Bongomin and Peter Ssenfuka were Mukono's top scorers with 17 and 11 points respectively.
