MAURICIUS: The Republic Cup 2006
This week end we had 2 matches that took place for the Republic Cup 2006 and it involves only the women team. The matches was scheduled this Saturday at gymnasium le '1er Fevrier'.
The first match was between the CJSOI Team and the Mer Rouge Team, and even though the Mer Rouge Team had the advantage of playing home, they were no match for the young team who will soon represent Mauritus in the Regional Competition. The CJSOI won the match on the score of 47 to 30.
In the second duel, the Champions Hoop made an easy win on the CNFBB BY winning the match by the large score of 91 to 27. The Hoop are busy preparing themselves for the CCOI tournament which will soon took place in Mayotte.
Both the Hoop and CJSOI now advances to the next level of the competition. The CJSOI will now face the current vice - champions, the CSSC and the winner will face Hoop on the final.
Tomorrow, 2 matches are scheduled for the Men at the Phoenix Gymnasium. The first match will be the current champions, the Real against the EDB @ 18hr00, and at 20hr00, the CSSC will have much to do against the CDB.
So, basket - ball fans, once more, just keep connected to africa basket and be aware of the latest results in this Republic Cup.
