ZIMBABWE: Stars, ALCC lock horns
Stars today lock horns with ALCC who were inactive last weekend after failing to fulfill their fixture against Giants. Stars are better positioned in the league and are favourites to bag maximum points.
Stars are banking on their star player Njabulo Ncube while Jabulani Sibanda the ALCC sports coordinator is expected to carry the day for his team.
Giants senior men will take on Giants Academy in what looks like an easy task for the log leaders.
Giants will be out to maintain their winning streak having won every game that they have played this season.
Bottom placed Kaos will take on second positioned Kings in a match that both teams have to win with Kaos needing maximum points as they are second from the bottom.
Kings will be out to collect maximum points if they are to be a threat to the allconquering Giants.
Shingi Magwaro and Garikai Gumbo are expected to guide Kings to victory while Kaos will hope that Lionel Wolfenden and Crispen Ndebele will be at their best to give them the cutting edge.
Before the Saturday games there will be a council meeting at BCD. Issues on the agenda include player transfers, interprovincial championships’ preparations and the issue of teams not fulfilling their fixtures.
Giants’ women will then face fourth placed Stars in a match that can go either way.
Stars have Feluna Chikuvadze and Sibongile Mnkandla, two players who can win the game for their team.
Today: Stars v ALCC, Academy v Giants (men), Kaos v Kings, Giants v Stars (women)
Tomorrow: PG Lakers v Queens (women), Lords v Academy, Highlanders v Classics (men)
Sunday: Giants v Queens (women), Lords v Academy (men)
