TANZANIA: Dar School basketball resumes tomorrow

After a successful debut at International School of Tanganyika Upanga ground last Friday, Dar es Salaam Independent School Basketball tournament storm into the second week tomorrow at the same venue.
The newly-launched basketball league expects to record more colourful actions tomorrow with Kwanza Academy and Laureate schools expected to better their last week’s records.
The last Friday opening matches witnessed Laureate International School ending the top in the scoresheet through their 22-2 victory over hapless Ecole Francaise.
In another encounter held at the same venue, IST Girls trounced Agakhan School 10-5 while Dar Salaam Independent School (DIS) also beat Genesis 16-0 in the third match of the event.
The heavy punishment fell on Good Shepherd in the fourth match who lost 0-8 to Super Mary. Kwanza Academy also ended victorious over DIS whom they walloped 4-1.
In the boys’ category, Laureate hammered IST 16-5. Agakhan School also cruised to beat the week Ecole Francaise with a heavy 18-1 score at the same IST Upanga ground.
The easy win parade for Kwanza Academy was close to being ruined when they had to struggle to beat Emima 7-6 in the close contested match of the league.Also
