UGANDA: Miracle Invitational set for Rubaga

THE 4th edition of the Miracle Invitational basketball tourney (MBC Challenger Series) is slated to tip off on February 4 at the club's home courts in Rubaga.

Tournament organiser and also Miracle Basketball club member/player Mr Chris Kyebambe told Daily Monitor that this time they are considering inviting three women's sides to also participate as the club cerebrates 11 years of existence.

" We want to have more men's teams and at least three women sides. We have not had ladies' teams before, but we want to invite them this time," said Kyebambe.
Lubaga Miracle Center Church bankrolls the one-day basketball tournament with drinks, food and entertainment.

The player who excels (Most Valuable Player) walks away with Shs30,000, while the top scorer and the winner of slum dunking competitions both win 25,000 shillings each.
The men's teams expected to land invitation include; Sadolin Power, Kampala International University (KIU), defending champions Crane High School and MTN League champions Nkumba University Marines. The women teams expected are; Makerere Sparks, Kampala City Council (KCC) Leopards as well as women league champions A-I Challenge.
